

Travelling by bus is a great way to see the countryside and Somerset's towns and villages. It is also a good alternative to the car for work, shopping and leisure trips.
Langport is served by two main bus services:
Service 54 (operated by First Bus) links Langport with Taunton, Somerset and Yeovil (Taunton and Somerton on Sundays).
Connections are available at Taunton and Yeovil for a wide range of destinations and Somerton for First Bus Service 377 to Glastonbury, Street, Wells and Bristol.
Sunday buses on Service 54 to Somerton connect with Service 377 to Yeovil as well as Glastonbury, Street, Wells and Bristol. Service 54 runs approximately hourly during the daytime (Monday to Saturdays) and every 2 hours on Sundays. There are also infrequent late evening services.

This text service will give you the next 3 buses due at the Kelways stop. For buses to Taunton, text sotatpwt to 84268 and for buses to Yeovil, text sotatpwp to 84268.
Service 54 stops on the main road close to the Old Kelways development outside the pub.
Service 16 (operated by Hatch Green Coaches) links Langport with Othery, Westonzoyland and Bridgwater (including Bridgwater College).
Connections are available at Bridgwater for a wide range of destinations including Burnham, Highbridge, Weston-Super-Mare and the West Somerset Coast (Williton).
Service 16 operates Mondays to Saturdays but not on Sundays approximately every two hours during the day and early evening.

Please note that Service 16 does not pass the Old Kelways development. It stops on the Newton Road (A372 to Bridgwater) a short distance downhill towards Langport town centre.
There are other occasional services to and from Langport including:
Buses TO Langport (no return journeys FROM Langport are possible) from surrounding villages such as Kingsbury Episcopi, Muchelney, High Ham and Fivehead. These services run on certain days of the week only.

No long-distance coach services serve Langport itself.

National Express operates one coach service per day from Street and Wells to London, one coach service per day from Yeovil to London and one coach service per day from Yeovil and Shepton Mallet to Bristol, Manchester, Preston and Blackpool. Connections are available at Bristol to a variety of destinations.
